Our community and city have been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your health and safety. HMC Dental is thrilled to welcome you back to our offices starting 6/15/20.

 

Infection control has always been a top priority for us at HMC Dental and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep you and our staff safe.

 

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.

 

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff.

•Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.

•Hand sanitizer is available when you enter the office building and should be used prior to entering the elevators.  Hand sanitizer will be in our reception area and other places in our office for you to use as needed.

•Face masks are required for entry into the building and you will be informed in the dental chair when to remove your mask for your visit.

•We ask you not bring anyone with you for your visit (unless is medically needed) to limit the amount visitors in the waiting room.

•You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines or beverages since these items are difficult to clean and disinfect.

•We will have contactless check out at the front desk.

•Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment. Please be patient with us as we rebuild our scheduling flow.

•We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.

•We have purchased and are waiting for installation of an air purification system JADE from Surgically Clean Air.  This system is the best in the industry and removes 99.98% of all particulates in the air including bacteria, viruses and volatile chemicals.  Dental procedures that produce aerosols are being postponed until this system is in place.  This is for the health and safety of both our patients and our staff.  Once this system is in place all dental procedures can safely resume.  As of August 24th, 2020 JADE is up and running!
